How Coaching Works

Apprenticeship is the best way to learn a skill. With our expert Contextual Design coach at your side you learn while creating your company’s deliverable. Our coach works with you in advance to set up the project appropriately, and then is onsite at key intervals to train your team members and provide feedback while you do the work.

Our visit schedule is designed to leverage our expertise in short, intensive visits that prepare your team to continue independently after we leave. Between visits your coach is available via phone for advice and to help you stay on track.

The result? A team that works successfully together and is skilled at customer-centered design.

Hybrid Design — Create a Cross-Company Team

When you'd like to bring Contextual Design into your company as a core competency, but don't have the resources to devote to a side-by-side coached team, then using one of our design services with a cross-company team is the solution. Cross-company teams are joint teams staffed by InContext designers and 2-4 people from your company who participate as full-time team members for the duration of the project.
