Karen is looking forward to her time in the Big Easy! She'll be speaking about the Women in Technology project and Contextual Design at two different events sponsored by Tulane University and open to the public.
Karen will be speaking on Women in Tech at CMU's Human-Computer Interaction Institute. Come and learn about the research, the resulting action framework, and contribute your experience to the conversation.
The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is the world's largest gathering of women technologists. Karen will be co-leading a workshop on Retaining High Tech Women and sharing the latest research from the Women in Tech project. She's also chairing two sessions in the HCI track.
Come hear Karen at this event co-sponsored by Georgia Tech HCI, amUX, IXDA Atlanta, Ladies that UX Atlanta, and CHI ATL. She'll provide an overview of the research from the Women in Tech project, and then engage the group in a discussion.
Karen is pleased to be leading a session at the Maryland Center for Women in Computing's inaugural Diversity in Computing Summit, a one-day workshop designed for all advocates of underrepresented groups in computing fields.
At the CHI 2016 Conference, we shared the initial Women in Tech research and Action Framework. SIG participants then reviewed the field data and generated interventions. Review the ideas, comment on them, and add your own ideas.
